Skin Contact :

The surfactants present in emulsions and to a smaller extent the traces of monomers etc., may cause dermatitis through repeated contact in sensitive individuals, principally because of their digressing effect. Skin contact is therefore to be avoided; gloves and overalls must be worn. Heavy perspiration induced by impervious gloves can cause skin infection; It is generally advisable to wear cotton inner gloves as well, and to have them washed frequently to maintain absorbency and suppleness.

Remedial Action and First Aid :

In summoning medical assistance explain the nature or the product involved, with any details from the supplier regarding special hazards.

Inhalation :

Discomfort due to the vapors of the residual monomers etc., is unlikely to occur, but can easily be relieved by breathing fresh air.

Ingestion :

The victim must be reassured: there is no serious poisoning hazard. Ingestion of small amounts, e.g. a teaspoonful, can be treated by giving the victim water to drink, and should cause only temporary discomfort, for larger amounts, plenty of water should be given to drink, if possible seek medical attention.

Skin Contact :

The skin should be washed with water before the emulsion dries; contaminated clothing must be removed to avoid discomfort from adhering resin. Any dried resin film that cannot be washed off can be removed with skin cleansers. Solvents must not be used.

Eye Contact :

Splashes in the eye must be washed out immediately with clean water for several minutes. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION

Spillages :

Although spillages present little hazard, in the interests of preventing slippery or dangerous surfaces, they should be dealt with as soon as possible before drying.
